Engaging Events & Collaborations
2024 has been an extraordinary year for us, marked by meaningful connections and impactful events. We proudly attended 5 in-person events, including ACEVO Fest, 2 Lewisham Local Conferences, Community Action Milton Keynes Conference, and Surrey Community Action’s Digital Mash-Up. As sponsors of Lewisham Local’s and Community Action Milton Keynes’ events, we reinforced our dedication to supporting local initiatives.
A standout moment was our sponsorship of 5 maternal mental health webinars. We also hosted 8 insightful webinars on topics around AI, Microsoft 365 productivity, digital marketing, and more, empowering organisations with essential tools and knowledge.
At the iconic Microsoft London HQ, we organised 2 roundtables, a lively Summer Social event, and our first in-person Charity IT Day. This annual event fosters collaboration between industry experts and charities, furthering our mission to drive positive change through technology.
Exciting New Partnerships
This year, we’re thrilled to announce our new partnerships with Google, Charity Digital, Charity Excellence, the Maternal Mental Health initiative, and the Teaching Awards Trust.
Our partnership with Google is particularly exciting, providing us with access to innovative tools and resources to enhance our digital solutions and support for clients.
In addition, our partnerships with Charity Digital and Charity Excellence strengthen our connection with the non-profit sector, enabling us to offer more tailored support to charities. We’re also proud to partner with the Maternal Mental Health initiative, reflecting our commitment to impactful social causes. Finally, joining forces with the Teaching Awards Trust highlights our dedication to celebrating excellence in education.
Making a Difference
This year, our team came together for several inspiring charity challenges, raising an incredible £3,848 for a range of worthy causes.
From a volunteering day at Bromley Food Bank to Rae completing the 2024 London Marathon in support of Evelina London Children’s Charity, our team went above and beyond.
Dan and Jack also took on the London Landmarks Half Marathon, raising funds for The Maypole Project, while our Qlic IT Bake Off brought out some sweet competition to support Tough to Talk Charity.
We couldn’t be prouder of our team’s dedication and passion for making a difference.
Welcoming New Team Members
We’re delighted to welcome 13 new team members who joined us in 2024!
Dan and Sam have strengthened our facilities team on the service desk as Facilities Management Technicians, Alice has come on board as our Service Desk Coordinator, streamlining client communications, while Alex joins as a Workstation Configuration Engineer, optimising setups for peak performance.
We’re also thrilled to have Barakel and Matt as Service Desk Engineers and Conner as a 1st Line Support Engineer, bolstering our technical support capabilities.
Katie has joined as our Finance Assistant, Colin brings his expertise as our Senior Solutions Architect, and Neel is our new Head of IT Communications.
Rounding out the team, Adam, Gary, and Robert have joined as IT Support Agents from our acquisition with Strawberry 7, ready to deliver exceptional client service.
These talented individuals are already making a tremendous impact, and we’re excited to see them thrive as part of the Qlic team!
A Year of Exciting Team Building Events
2024 has been an incredible year at Qlic IT, filled with memorable team building events!
We kicked off the fun with a trip to Fairgame, where we unleashed our competitive sides in an arcade-style adventure. We tested our skills and teamwork at The Cube, a thrilling challenge that kept everyone on their toes. Summer was celebrated in style with a rooftop party, enjoying great views, food, and company.
To close the year, we have our annual Christmas party, with an exciting awards ceremony and a night of dancing to celebrate our achievements.
Memorable Milestones
Reflecting on 2024, we’re proud to celebrate several standout moments that defined an incredible year.
One of the highlights was acquiring Strawberry 7, which marked the launch of our education brand, Qlic IT for Education, and welcomed three talented team members, Robert, Adam, and Gary.
Another milestone was hosting our very first in-person Charity IT Day, which brought together industry professionals and charitable organisations for impactful collaboration. Additionally, this year saw us attend more events than ever before, strengthening our connections and making 2024 truly unforgettable!
